All this time I thought leading a gluten-free lifestyle was a luxury enjoyed by yuppy northeasters, but I guess the phenomenon is catching on with yuppy communities across the nation. For those of you who don't know, going gluten-free requires one to screw all foods containing any trace of gluten, which is a protein in wheat, rye and barley (i.e. 95% of processed food that people like eating). If that wasn't enough, according to Wikipiedia, gluten is also used as a food additive in the form of a flavoring, stabilizing or thickening agent (think along the lines of cookies, waffles, ice-cream, etc), so when you add it all up, you're left with very limited options when it comes to things you can actually consume---hence the weight loss!

Going back to Miley, she recently fought back accusations that she's anorexic with this simple Tweet: "For everyone calling me anorexic I have a gluten and lactose allergy. It's not about weight it's about health. Gluten is crapppp anyway!" And then, speaking directly to her young fans, Miley added, "everyone should try no gluten for a week! The change in your skin, (physical) and mental health is amazing! U won't go back!" Miley's not exactly the best spokesperson for going gluten-free, only because it's much easier to buy gluten-free shit if you have millions in the bank, and sadly that's not the case for 99% of her fans.
