At 16-years-old and with a growing fan base, singer Austin Mahone showed exactly why he is being labelled the 'new Justin Bieber' earlier today. The rising star showed off his boyish good looks as he stripped down to his swimming shorts for a dip in the Miami ocean. He even had the obligatory celebrity date - accompanied by Hailey Baldwin, daughter of actor Stephen.
The 16-year-old opted for a colourful two-piece with a bright orange bikini top and psychedelic bottoms for her day at the beach. She wore her long blonde hair loose down her back and looked like she was having a great time with the up and coming singer. Like her father who starred in The Usual Suspects and is the younger brother of Alec and William Baldwin, Hailey also has aspirations to be in showbusiness as a dancer. While 16-year-old Austin began attracting a fan base last year after posting up videos on YouTube.
Last month, the aspiring star, who hails from Texas, released his second single Say Somethin. Back in May, he even met Bieber who also got his big break via YouTube when the young heart-throbs both visited the Z100 radio station in New York City. Austin has called comparisons to the 17-year-old Baby singer 'flattering.'
He told MTV News: 'It's not that bad of a thing. It's cool because he's such an inspiration to me and he's so successful, and I just hope that I'll be as successful as him someday. He has also expressed his gratitude for the chance to follow in Bieber's footsteps.
'Coming from my bedroom in San Antonio to this big world and going from singing covers off my laptop to making music in this nice studio, making professional-sounding music — it's just weird,' he said. 'It's crazy. I can't believe that happened.'
