Lands in Vancouver for “50 Shades of Grey” Gig.
Making the transition from music to film, Rita Ora flew into Vancouver International Airport in Vancouver, Canada ahead of her big role on “50 Shades of Grey” last night (January 14). The “How We Do” songstress appeared a bit tuckered out from her long transatlantic flight, though when she spotted fans and shutterbugs she made a few silly faces to show her gratitude that they showed up to support her. Back in December, Rita took to her Twitter account to announce she’d landed the “50 Shades” gig- “It's official! I've been cast in @FiftyShades of Grey as Christian's sister Mia.” Perhaps Ms. Ora has been focusing on work to distract her from her rumored relationship problems with Calvin Harris. She unfollowed him on Instagram recently and hasn’t offered an explanation!

Making the most of her time in LA, Rita Ora hit up a pre- Grammy party on January 23. And it was hard to miss the “How We Do” songstress’ exit, as she wore a gold and white minidress while strolling past some shutterbugs on her way to her car. Rita’s ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris has devised a plan to win her back following the demise of their 9-month romance. An insider told press, “Calvin is pulling out all the stops. She was impressed when he flew out to Canada to be with her, as she knows he's really busy right now. They had lots of fun. They had day trips together. Calvin explained to Rita that she's very important to him, and that he just can't see where things have gone wrong between them.'' “Rita isn't convinced yet. She knows Calvin is a really good guy. But she's really struggling to keep her attentions focused both on her career and their relationship. She finds it so hard being in a long-distance relationship, and their schedules seem to constantly clash. But Calvin had told her that he sees her as his lady. He'll do whatever it takes and he's not going to let her go without a fight.”

Squeezing in another pre-Grammy event before the big night, some of the hottest stars in hip hop attended the Roc Nation Pre-Grammy brunch on Saturday (January 25). Sporting long curly locks, Rihanna posed for pics in a light blouse unbuttoned to the waist and a red and white striped skirt with a slit up the side. Nearby, Rita Ora looked cute in a white top with white and gold skirt and matching jacket as she wore her hair pulled back in a bun. Teaming up for the event, siblings Willow and Jaden Smith arrived, coordinating in black and white outfits.

Meanwhile, it sounds like Rita Ora and her boyfriend Calvin Harris are having a blast mixing business with pleasure as he co-wrote her new single “Will Never Let You Down.” Rita Ora told press, "Honestly, it was so natural. I wouldn't have done it if it didn't make any sense. I was never really against (working with) people I'm involved with (and) doing something personally. We were sitting at home, he started humming and then I started humming and then we hummed together!".

Looking to satisfy her growling tummy, Rita Ora showed up at a London McDonald’s fast food spot on Sunday evening (February 16). The “How We Do” songstress looked gorgeous in a black and pink sequined Gucci jumpsuit as she grabbed a quick bite to eat and scurried off to The Weinstein Company’s post-BAFTA Awards celebration. And it turns out Rita Ora performed Janis Joplin’s “Take Another Little Piece of My Heart” with Karen Elson on stage before the shindig was over. Rita Ora explained, “I just turned up and was invited on to the stage! There I was dancing with Jessie, it was just a spur of the moment thing.”

They’re both big-name pop stars in their own right, and Katy Perry and Rita Ora both added star power to the Moschino Dinner in Milan, Italy last night (February 20). Following the Moschino Fall 2014 presentation at Milan Fashion Week (both Rita and Katy walked in the show), the “How We Do” songstress and the “Roar” hitmaker headed over to Giacomo Arengario Restaurant for some delicious eats. And though all is well that ends well, Ms. Ora caused some drama prior to the Moschino fashion show by arriving 45 minutes late and delaying the whole event. Harper’s Bazaar’s Avril Mair tweeted, “Rita Ora shows up 45 mins late for Moschino. I've needed a wee for about 43 of those and we're still waiting #myglamorouslife #mfw,” and journalist Roo Whitty noted, “Nice of you to show up Rita Ora! #GlacialPace #Moschino #MFW.”
